ESOL Teacher Springbrook High School - August 2005 - Present
- Work as an integrated team member of the ESOL department,responsible for
preparing differentiated lessons
for various English language proficiencies,
instructing, assessing knowledge
- Uphold my individual administrative obligation including grade reporting,
administering standardized tests, department meetings, parent-teacher
conferences, and classroom management.
- Responsible for ensuring lessons are accessible to each student in multi-level
classrooms by adapting the cirriculum while aligning the objectives with those
established by MCPS
- Create material and use technology that
provides clear instruction and proper
scaffolding while encouraging students to think creatively and critically about the
content.
- Assess students comprehension, promote a fair, encouraging and safe classroom,
communicate with parents and ensure MCPS standards are addressed.
Specific class taught include: ESOL 4, TOEFL Prep, Developmental Reading (METS),
College Prep (Level 2/3), US History and US History/Culture

and appropriate instructional material, aligning MCPS curriculum objectives while
